Alpinestars Flow v3 Drying Helmet Bag
Attention all race track aficionados and tarmac adventurers! Introducing the Alpinestars Flow V3 Helmet Bag - not just any pit stop for your headgear, but a luxury penthouse suite! This isn't just a bag; it's the VIP treatment your helmet deserves after a day of white-knuckled, pedal-to-the-metal action.
Constructed from a lightweight and durable polyester shell, the Flow V3 isn't just another pretty face in the pit lane. It's tough enough to handle the rigors of travel without weighing you down – because we know the last thing you need is extra baggage on race day.
Designed with your full-face helmet and HANS device in mind, it cradles your gear like a newborn, but with the muscle of a pit lane pro. The plush fleece lining is so soft, your helmet might just get a little too comfortable. But hey, even your head's champion deserves a cozy spot, right?
Drying Makes A World Of Difference
Now, let's talk about the built-in USB powered helmet dryer and mesh inserts. These features are like having a personal pit crew for your helmet, working overtime to wick away moisture and keep your helmet as fresh as your reflexes on the start line. Because nothing says "ready to rumble" like a crisp, dry helmet.
Don't even get us started on the rubberized bottom base. It’s as rigid and reliable as your determination to nail the apex on every turn. It ensures your helmet’s safe and sound, no matter if you're on gravel or grass.
Space To Spare
Spacious side compartment is an understatement. You could fit your gloves, glasses, and probably a sandwich in there (because who races on an empty stomach?). The fleece inner lining in this pocket is like adding a silk robe to your helmet's wardrobe, extra protection for those extra special accessories.
Transportation is a breeze with double grab handles and a removable shoulder strap that makes carrying it as effortless as cruising down the straightaway. With a parallel zip opening, you'll have your gear in and out faster than a pit stop at Monza.

Bell Kart Racing Helmet FAQs
Remember that safety is paramount in kart racing, and choosing the right helmet and maintaining it properly is essential for your protection on the track. Consult the professionals at any time you have specific questions about your racing helmet.
Why do I need a kart racing helmet?Auto and kart racing helmets are essential for protecting your head in high-speed accidents. They also shield against debris and, in some motorsports, fire—making them a non-negotiable safety requirement.
How do I choose the right size Kart Racing helmet?Use a flexible tape to measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Compare the measurement to Bell’s sizing chart. For more help, read our blog on how to fit your helmet properly at .
What safety standards should I look for in a kart racing helmet?Look for the Snell K2020 certification for adult karting or Snell-FIA CMR-2016 for youth karting (15 and under). This ensures your helmet meets rigorous standards for impact protection. Unlike DOT (for street use), these certification standards are designed specifically for motorsports.
Can I use a motorcycle helmet for kart racing? No. Motorcycle helmets lack the kart-specific certifications and features like proper ventilation and impact resistance optimized for karting. Always use a helmet rated for motorsport competition.
How often should I replace my kart racing helmet?Replace your helmet every five years depending on usage and the manufacturer's guidance. If it’s been dropped, involved in an impact, or shows signs of wear, replace it immediately.
Are expensive racing helmets safer than budget ones?Yes, typically. While both must meet minimum safety standards, premium helmets offer lighter materials, better fit, improved aerodynamics, and enhanced comfort, all of which impact race performance and fatigue.
How do I maintain and clean my kart racing helmet?Clean the exterior and interior using a helmet-specific care product like the Molecule Helmet Care Kit. Avoid submerging the helmet or using abrasive cleaners. Visors should be cleaned gently to avoid scratching.
Do I need to wear a balaclava under my kart racing helmet? While not required for all karting events, a balaclava enhances comfort, keeps your helmet liner clean, and helps wick sweat. Fire-rated balaclavas are mandatory in sanctioned auto racing and recommended for high-performance karting.
Is the Snell-FIA CMR-2016 rating important?Yes. This certification is the most widely accepted youth kart helmet standard, required by many racing series to ensure safety and performance.
Can I wear glasses with my kart racing helmet?Yes. Wide eye ports, make it compatible with most prescription glasses and racing eyewear. A good fit ensures the glasses remain stable and fog-free.
Are carbon fiber helmets better?Carbon fiber helmets are lighter and stronger, reducing fatigue during long races while offering excellent impact protection. They are a top choice for competitive drivers.
Should I buy a used helmet for kart racing? It’s not recommended. Damage or degradation may not be visible, and older helmets might not meet current safety standards. Always buy new from an authorized dealer like .
How can I prevent helmet fogging during races?Use a visor with built-in anti-fog technology like Bell’s DSAF system, or apply an anti-fog spray or insert. Keeping your helmet well-ventilated also helps.
What's the importance of proper helmet ventilation?Good ventilation helps manage heat and moisture inside the helmet, reducing fatigue and keeping you focused throughout your race.
How do I store my kart racing helmet between races?Store your helmet in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Use a padded helmet bag like our Evo Helmet Bag to prevent damage during transport or storage.
What is the difference between Snell K2020 and CMR-2016 certifications?Snell K2020 is designed for adult karting helmets, focusing on impact protection. Snell-FIA CMR-2016 is tailored for drivers under 15, offering a lighter helmet to reduce neck strain while maintaining safety standards.
Are tear-off visors necessary for kart racing?Tear-off visors are beneficial in maintaining clear vision during races by allowing drivers to remove a dirty visor layer quickly. They are especially useful in outdoor karting where debris and dirt are common.
How do I know if my helmet is still safe to use?Helmets should be inspected regularly for signs of wear or damage. If a helmet has been involved in a significant impact or shows signs of degradation, it should be replaced immediately. Additionally, helmets should be replaced every 5 years, even if no damage is visible.
Can I customize my kart racing helmet?Yes, many manufacturers offer customization options for fit and aesthetics. However, any modifications should not compromise the helmet's structural integrity or safety certifications.

Reinforced toe and heel sections protect high-wear areas from repeated contact with pedals, chassis components, and paddock surfaces. The result is a versatile kart racing shoe suitable for developing drivers, club racers, and experienced competitors.
Lightweight Synthetic Upper
The KS-2F uses a lightweight synthetic leather upper that provides support and durability without adding unnecessary bulk. Its streamlined construction helps drivers operate closely spaced kart pedals with confidence.
Breathable Mesh Inserts
Strategically positioned mesh panels promote airflow around the foot, helping reduce heat buildup during demanding indoor and outdoor karting sessions.
Perforated Ventilation Panels
Perforated side sections provide additional ventilation while maintaining the supportive structure required for precise pedal operation.
Flexible Rear Ankle Panel
A flexible rear panel allows the ankle and Achilles area to move naturally through braking and throttle transitions. This construction improves mobility while helping maintain support around the heel.
Stretch Ankle Collar
The ankle-sock-style collar creates a close, comfortable fit around the lower leg. Its flexible design helps limit unwanted movement without restricting normal ankle articulation.
Secure Lace and Strap Closure

How do I choose the right size Kart Racing helmet?Use a flexible tape to measure the circumference of your head just above your eyebrows and ears. Compare the measurement to the sizing chart. For more help, read our blog on how to fit your helmet properly at Competition Karting.
What safety standards should I look for in a youth kart racing helmet? Look for the FIA CMR-2106 certification for karting.
