AiM MyChron Expansion The AiM MyChron Expansion is an add-on for the MyChron4 or MyChron5 Kart Racing Data Logger Dash. It plugs into the CAN expansion port on your MyChron dash to expand its capabilities. The Expansion has a single CAN expansion port plus four additional sensor inputs. All four inputs can accept common karting sensors (brake/throttle pedal position, temperature, steering angle, etc.). One of the four inputs can accept a speed sensor instead. Requires an external 12-volt power source such as your kart's battery. The MyChron Expansion channel multiplier improves MyChron5 and MyChron5 2T (and also MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T) performance, thanks to four additional channels and a further CAN bus connector. Through this last connector, the systems can be connected to LCU-One Lambda controller and SmartyCam HD (and to GPS and Data key for MyChron4 systems). Thanks to its specific wirings, MyChron Expansion powers the systems and their peripherals with an external battery, avoiding internal battery consumption. AiM Sports KA 50 psi Boost/Vacuum (Absolute Pressure) Sensor This "absolute pressure" sensor is ideal for measuring vapor (gas) pressures, such as intake boost and crankcase pressure. The 50 psi pressure range is based on perfect vacuum (i.e., from 15 psi below atmospheric pressure to 35 psi above). This sensor is marked "0-50psiA" to differentiate it from the standard 0-50 psi sensor (marked "0-50psiSG"), which does not measure vacuum. KA pressure sensors are more robust than VDO-style pressure sensors, but they should still be isolated from engine heat and vibration whenever possible. AiM Magnetic Pedal Position Sensor For MyChron Dashes Magnetic accelerator- and brake-pedal position sensors are crucial devices for kart drivers and teams. They provide precise indications of timing and intensity of braking and acceleration. This helps the team to understand whether the driver has accelerated and braked at the right moments, with the correct pedal strength, across multiple laps and overlaid with other critical data. These are very important factors in evaluating driver behavior and improving his/her performance. Data can be logged by your MyChron dash connected to a MyChron Expansion, then analyzed on your PC post-race. Made from anodized aluminum, these sensors are very robust and water-resistant. Calibration is immediate: once installed, connect the sensors to your MyChron Expansion and set pedal positions (high position and zero position). After that, the sensor will start transmitting accelerator or brake pedal data.

AiM Kart Racing Steering Angle Sensor Measure and log your kart driver's steering input with the AiM Steering Angle Sensor. Includes a rotary potentiometer with a male 4-pin 719-style connector, two toothed pulleys, one toothed belt, and one sensor mounting bracket. The steering shaft pulley is designed to fit a 7/8"-diameter shaft. (Smaller shafts will need to add a bushing to fit the pulley.) This sensor is designed to measure up to five complete turns of the steering column. This sensor requires the addition of an Expansion Box or eBox when used with MyChron3 Extreme, MyChron4, and MyChron5 kart dash loggers. If your steering column is larger than 7/8", consider using the AiM String Pot Steering Angle Sensor (Part No. AIM-MC-280) instead. The String Pot can work with any diameter steering shaft.

AiM Thermocouple Sensor Extension Cable Extension cable to link a thermocouple temperature sensor to your MyChron data-logger dash. Features one 712 3-pin male connector and one K-style female connector. Cable length is 5.0 ft. (1.5 meter).
