AiM Sports KA 50 psi Boost/Vacuum (Absolute Pressure) Sensor This "absolute pressure" sensor is ideal for measuring vapor (gas) pressures, from intake boost to crankcase pressure. The 50 psi pressure range is based on perfect vacuum (i.e., from 15 psi below atmospheric pressure to 35 psi above). This sensor is marked "0-50psiA" to differentiate it from the standard 0-50 psi sensor (marked "0-50psiSG"), which does not measure vacuum. KA pressure sensors are more robust than VDO-style pressure sensors, but they should still be isolated from engine heat and vibration whenever possible. AiM Magnetic Pedal Position Sensor For MyChron5 The accelerator/brake pedal position sensors is a crucial support device for kart drivers. They provide a precise indication of timing and intensity of braking and/or acceleration. This permits the team to understand whether the driver has accelerated or braked at the right moment, with the correct pedal strength, across multiple laps and overlaid with other critical data. This is a very important factor in evaluating driver behavior and improving his/her performance. Data can be acquired by your MyChron5 connected to a MyChron Expansion and analyzed on your PC. AiM Kart Racing Steering Angle Sensor Measure and log your kart driver's steering input with the AiM Steering Angle Sensor. Includes a rotary potentiometer with a male 4-pin 719-style connector, two toothed pulleys, one toothed belt, and one sensor mounting bracket. The steering shaft pulley is designed to fit a 7/8"-diameter shaft. (Smaller shafts will need to add a bushing to fit the pulley.) This sensor is designed to measure up to five complete turns of the steering column. This sensor requires the addition of an Expansion Box or eBox when used with MyChron3 Extreme, MyChron4, and MyChron5 kart dash loggers. If your steering column is larger than 7/8", consider using the AiM String Pot Steering Angle Sensor (Part No. AIM-MC-280) instead. The String Pot can work with any diameter steering shaft.

AiM MyChron Expansion The AiM MyChron Expansion is an add-on for the MyChron4 or MyChron5 Kart Racing Data Logging Dash. It plugs into the CAN expansion port on your MyChron dash to expand its capabilities. The Expansion has a single CAN expansion port plus four additional sensor inputs. All four inputs can accept common karting sensors (brake/throttle pedal position, temperature, steering angle, etc.). One of the four inputs can accept a speed sensor instead. Requires an external 12-volt power source such as your kart's battery. The MyChron Expansion channel multiplier improves MyChron5 and MyChron5 2T (and also MyChron4 and MyChron4 2T) performance, thanks to four additional channels and a further CAN bus connector. Through this last connector, the systems can be connected to LCU-One Lambda controller and SmartyCam HD (and to GPS and Data key for MyChron4 systems). Thanks to its specific wirings, MyChron Expansion powers the systems and their peripherals with an external battery, avoiding internal battery consumption.
